Eukanuba World Challenge - Quality Of Dogs On A Par With Crufts

The Eukanuba World Challenge 2008 was a tremendous success, featuring 52 of the world's top-winning dogs representing their respective countries. The preparations for the 2009 event, to be hosted at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in Long Beach, California on 12th & 13th of December, are already under way with some exciting and innovative changes to the format. The selection process has begun - the national Kennel Clubs, in most instances, will be responsible for nominating their top-winning dog either by using a ranking system or a BIS winner at a predesignated show. The Best In Show winners of some of the world's most prestigious shows will be invited to participate and compete for the title, 2009 Eukanuba World Challenge Champion.

Crufts is considered one of the most prestigious dog shows in the world. This year, three of the seven Crufts 2009 group winners represented their countries at the 2008 Eukanuba World Challenge. This gives immense credibility to the quality of dogs participating in the World Challenge, and puts the Eukanuba World Challenge, going into its third year since inception, on a par with the excellent quality dogs who participate and win at prestigious shows around the globe. The impressive breeders lounge at the distinctive Crufts trade stand provided international breeders with a meeting point. Over 400 breeders from around the world visited the lounge during the four days of Crufts. They were afforded the opportunity to discuss, share and exchange breeding ideas and information with each other and gain valuable nutritional advice from the knowledgeable and friendly Eukanuba nutritional and breeder experts. The desires of breeders, owners and handlers are very much recognized by Eukanuba, who is keen to meet these needs and provide this unique event which is fast becoming a challenge to be reckoned with.
